Have a question with no one to ask

How should I follow this up?

I won’t lie, our wedding venue contact has become very inconsistent with communication. We’re on a payment plan, pay every 1st of the month until the remainder is paid. So I’ll text them when I send the check off, just to let them know it’s on the way. Never get a response.

I texted this on Saturday (probably not the best day because I saw later that evening on Facebook that they had a wedding that day). But he stated he would “call me” since that seems to be the norm with them (they don’t like communicating via text or email for some reason) but he never did.

Background: venue is owned by a husband and wife, both of which have full time jobs and the guy is a OBGYN. They also have a lot of kids. So I know they’re busy and understand that they don’t always have time to get back to me but how do I approach this?

Should I just be like “hey! Just following up on my previous inquiry about the decor closet”

I’m starting to think I should’ve asked more questions/verified what was on the website was true.

Website says they have a day-of-coordinator included in the rental package but in their FAQ’s it states they do not have an in house coordinator and if we wanted one it would be an extra charge.

Is this normal for wedding venues?
