Would this bother you?

My husband has been very distant lately. Starts fights for no reason, refuses to communicate, wouldn't spend any time with me on my birthday. I've been feeling very lonely for awhile and have tried to talk to him about it but he shuts me out. He refuses couples therapy.

Yesterday he gave his wedding ring to our 3 year old to play with unsupervised and forgot about it. Later, I found it in the living room. I took it and put it on a table for safekeeping. I know it's just an object, but I feel like it's a symbol of our love and marriage and it's just another sign that he is done and doesn't care. He's never been careless with it before. Would that upset you?
