Anyone being monitored for “large baby”

Just wondering if anyone has any experience being monitored for high fetal weight. My baby measures >97 percent at my anatomy scan. I was referred to a specialist and need to have another scan within a week. I’m so confused as to why I need a scan so soon. I figured it would be monitored every few months or so, or towards the end of my pregnancy. What’s the point of having another scan after a week?

I do have quite a bit of concern because I struggled with my 9lb boy during labor and my second was born over 8lbs at 39 weeks. If anyone has any input on why I’m being monitored so early I would appreciate it
