Sacked

So we are currently going through a mortgage process on our first home. I have recently started a new job, been here 2 months and my husband has been in his for about 3 years. Today he had a call saying he has been sacked. The company he worked for used to have staff send in there hours, he say worked 5 hours monday and 7 hours tuesday. He simply got them mixed up and now they are saying he is stealing. I Am shaking. I have sent him a load of jobs that i have found.
