Why does my toddler listen to everyone else besides me??
Does anyone else’s child literally not listen in the slightest? I wish I was kidding when I say my toddler doesn’t listen to a single word that flies out of my mouth. It doesn’t matter how I say it, how many times I repeat myself, he does NOT listen to me. He listens to his dad, he listens to his grandparents, he listens to his aunts, he just doesn’t listen to me and I don’t know why. The second his dad gets onto him he immediately listens but when it’s me, he just thinks it’s funny and laughs at me and continues doing whatever it is I’m telling him to stop doing. I repeat myself over and over and over and he will again look at me, bust out laughing, and continue until I just yell at him in a mean stern tone or say “STOP” then he listens. I hate yelling and it makes me feel bad to yell at him all the time but that is legit the ONLY way he takes me serious. Why does he he only do this with me and not anyone else ? His dad says that he doesn’t listen to me because I’m not “serious” often enough and I “spoil” him sometimes so he thinks he doesn’t have to listen to me and can get away with stuff with me but I just don’t know. It’s kinda frustrating because when anyone else gets onto him he listens so well but it’s always so difficult when it’s me.
