Sick- allergies or need to see dr?

I started with my throat hurting, now three days later im sneezing nonstop and my nose has endless amount of mucus. Benadryl did help me but i’m not sure if I should see the doctor still? if it’s allergies antibiotics aren’t gonna help but maybe I need them? no fever or any symptoms in my body. it’s just my nose and the congestion. it’s like post nasal drip. COVID negative btw.

If its a cold or flu the drs cant give you anything for it. Just have lots of fluids and rest as much as possible.

Sounds like you have a cold. Antibiotics don’t cure the common cold either. Unless you have a sinus infection, ear infection, strep, etc., you don’t need to see a doctor for a cold.

If the benadryl worked it.probbaly.is allergies. I would get.an over.the counter allergy regimen that is non drowsy.such as claritin,zyrtec things like that.

Those emergency packets that fizz with water. Like the width of your finger, so it’s more concentrated. I do 2 shots back to back. I also mix honey and cinnamon powder into a paste and eat it with a spoon. Doesn’t taste great but it fixes everything. Bronchitis, upper respiratory infection, strep, COVID etc. have not taken an antibiotic in years. And Since I started to gargle daily with listerine. I have not been sick in a year or so. Hope you feel better. My mother always did home remedies. Vicks vapor rub. She’d put some on a big metal spoon and melt it like water with a match under it. Put in on neck, chest, back and feet. Cotton t shirt and socks you sweat it off by morning. We never missed a day of school.
