Should I have a positive pregnancy test by now?

I had unprotected sex on September 1st and haven’t had sex since. I tested for pregnancy using a Clearblue digital test on September 30th and it was negative. Should I have a positive by now?

Its more common than people think to get false negatives, but speaking from experience on one of my pregnancies took 6 weeks to get a positive and i ended up having a healthy girl born at 38 weeks, then my pregnancy before last it took me 9 weeks to get a positive test, scan confirmed a pregnancy of 9 weeks but hcg was low, i later miscarried at 14 weeks. If it takes too long to get a positive test the pregnancy is most likely not viable.

I read your comment from above about testing for ovulation on the 19th and it being positive. That far out from having sex would put you too far out to fall pregnant. With it being 19 days in between when you took the test and it was negative I would say that you aren’t pregnant.

When do you normally have your period? Did you track ovulation? When was your last period? And yes, typically 30 days after sex (if done around ovulation means not pregnant).
