PSA--Bleeding After Sex

Brooke
I just want to put this out there as I have noticed this is a widely accepted and encouraged misconception that us women have about our lovely lady parts.
Bleeding after losing your virginity. This is actually a bad thing! You're not supposed to bleed at ALL after having sex. If you do, I'd suggest consulting a doctor.
Ladies, we do not have a cherry to pop! There is not a little pocket of blood clinging to the walls of our vaginas waiting to be ruptured during sex. Our hymens are not supposed to tear, either!
Let me explain. Picture a balloon with a small slit in it stretched over the opening of a tube. This is what our hymen is like. It's supposed to stretch, not tear, during sex or masturbation. Hymens do heal from these tears, however it's still very uncomfortable for women and very alarming.
So how can you prevent tearing? If you're planning on losing your virginity or even having sex after a long hiatus, use your fingers to stretch yourself out. Start with one, and add another as you feel comfortable. Hell, even have your partner do it for you! Make sure you're properly lubed up (typically our little flower produces enough fluids to reduce friction, but for some, extra help is necessary). Go slow and respect our womanhood! She shouldn't have to be torn apart during sex!
Hoped this helped someone :)
