New pregnancy after abortion?

I got my first positive faint line yesterday. I’m not sure if it’s a new pregnancy or left over HCG from my last abortion. I used the pill on September 17th so it’s been around 6 weeks and a few days. Not sure if HCG would even stay that long. I already had my period and everything after the abortion and I had unprotected sex with my child’s father. I’m starting to think it’s possibly a new pregnancy. What do you guys think?

Probably best to see your doctor in this case.
Please dont take this the wrong way but if abortion was the right choice for you, you shouldnt have unprotected sex. There are many ways to prevent pregnancy that dont necessarily include hormones.

Hcg can stay in your system for 4-6 weeks. However, if you know you already got your period and it wasn't bleeding from. The procedure and you've been having unprotected sex this is likely a new pregnancy

If you had your period and unprotected sex after your period its very possible this is a new pregnancy.
