He switched up plans

Would it bug you that your own boyfriend who doesn’t have any family in the state (military) rather spend Thanksgiving with his married friends who he works with vs. his own girlfriend and her family? I feel in an awkward spot because I did ask him a few weeks ago if he had plans, I offered and he said that sounds good, thanks. Asked again tonight and he now has plans with his friends who asked him yesterday. I let it be but now idk what to do, because he made it sound like he was interested originally but now rather choose friends instead? I don’t want to come off naggy, but like what the heck? Did he forget? He’ll be away for training all week so I can’t ask him during. What do I do? I’m all for friends but to do things with them instead last minute kinda sucks.
