Are all men like this?

My partner can be the most romantic guy ever one day and then the next day be such a jerk. Is he bipolar or do men act like this? He’ll take me out on a date, call me beautiful, hold the door open for me, and end the night with a late night trip to my favorite ice cream shop. But the next day? He’s complaining about having to be the one to pick up the food (even though it’s dark and late out), sighing about doing his chore, and getting upset at me about a misunderstanding on both of our ends? Then the next day, he’s cooks up a new breakfast because he thinks I’d love it, helping out more with chores, offering to do the grocery shopping for me? Like am I dating the same man? He annoys me so much one day and the next day I feel head over heels for him.
