How to stop your child running off

I’ve had enough and it’s got to the point where I just don’t even want to leave the house anymore.

(This is about my second born) She’s the sweetest little girl (just turned 3) and so funny but I really don’t like and try to avoid leaving the house now because she just runs off all the time.

I’ve tried reins and she can take them off, she can climb out of pushchairs (she used to climb out of her car seat too, this girl can just about escape anything (trust me I tried everything)

Running off has been so bad she’s nearly been hit by a car once, I lost her once (for about 5-10mins) and she’s ran across the road (luckily no cars were coming)

She doesn’t listen to me, I try so hard to do gentle parenting approach but she literally doesn’t care and doesn’t listen at all.

It’s almost like a running joke with the mums at the school now and my mum, with her not being bothered by anything.

I hate to admit but I have shouted and lost my cool a fair few times because I reached breaking point.

(She still didn’t seem bothered by me even then)

Just after any advice on what else I can do to help with the running off and listening. I didn’t have this problem with my 4.5 year old.

Please, no judgment or hate I already feel like a crap mum and it’s really bringing me down and draining me.
