UTI and kidney issue

Amy

Just looking for some advice on my situation or if anyone has been through anything similar. I am 23 +3 weeks pregnant. Before I got pregnant I had been suffering with chronic UTI’s for 8 years. The last 9 weeks I have had a constant urine infection, I have been on 8 courses of antibiotics so far (cefalexin x3, co-amoxiclav x2, nitrofuratoin x2, amoxicillin) all orally. I am resistant to nitrofuratoin and did state this to the nurse however gave them me anyway to “cover their backs”. I have had the symptoms of a UTI for the 9 weeks such as burning down below, lower belly pains. Around 3 weeks ago I suddenly started to get antagonising pain just below my ribs on both sides. I got taken into hospital via ambulance with gas and air, had a ultrasound kidney scan the next day and was told I have a 14mm right sided swelling (Hydronephrosis), they said if the pain doesn’t get better and pain killers aren’t working they will do a Nephroscopy. I have been into hospital for this pain numerous times and I get sent home, told to drink lots of water and keep taking the pain killers. Last Friday I went for a GP appointment due to the pain getting worst with the burning etc. I went for a wee and instantly was in agony (photo below of my urine) I was told by the GP there is puss in my urine and more than likely from my kidney. An ambulance was called by the GP for sepsis warning. I have been in here since Friday, the doctor on Friday said I need to urgently see urology Saturday morning, the urologist has still not saw me and still awaiting. This morning I have threw up clots of blood as well. Please could someone shed some light maybe or advice - first time long term pregnancy (2 miscarriages previous) and 20 years old 😓😓
