Feeling insecure… now he’s mad at me

My bf is in addiction recovery and the meetings he goes to is having a Christmas party.

Last year, he took his family to it. This year he said he’s not inviting his family. I asked him if I could go and he said he isn’t staying long anyway so he doesn’t want me to go.

I got a little insecure because I know there is girls that go to these things that use to really like him or even date him.

I told him how I felt and said that I really don’t want him to go. (I know that’s not gonna stop him but at least he knows how I feel).

He immediately got mad at me and said that we’ve been together too long for me to think he’s going to cheat on me. I told him that I don’t think he’s going to cheat on me, I just wish he wouldn’t go to this party without me.

Now’s he mad at me.

I’m so upset. Any advice ???
