Would this be a reasonable purchase?

When my husband and I got married four years ago, we bought a sectional that was $600 and obviously was made cheaper so it didn’t last long at all. We also got a puppy about a year after having it and she definitely ruined it. She would have accidents on the couch many times and it was hard to completely get it out. Anywho, my parents ended up getting new furniture so they were nice enough to gift us their old couch and loveseat. They are nice and in decent shape. However, they’re about 8 years old and just kind of getting worn. From when our youngest was a baby bottles would tip over and spill and just normal wear & tear would happen. They are a light brown and cute, but I really want a light grey or grey colored couch. There’s a furniture store that has a beautiful sectional near us AND.still having a Black Friday sale. My husband is always saying how he would use things until they’re torn to pieces, but I love decorating my house and that’s like my hobby is to make our house a home. Am I just being high maintenance? Should I just stick it out until the furniture is super super worn out? Please help!
