Not wanting to be around my brother

Both my brother and SIL struggled with infertility for years. They both went through surgeries and were finally able to get IVF. They only got one embryo and my SIL got pregnant. She ended up having bleeding at like 36 or 37 weeks and their car wouldn't start so they called for an ambulance. My brother ended up having to deliver the baby and he wasn't breathing. The baby had passed because the cord was tightly around his neck. This happened 4 months ago and I love my brother but he's always sad and makes everything sad. I know 4 months isn't too long ago but it's enough time to START to move on. His wife is of course sad too but she at least TRIES to hide it so people can be happy around her. Christmas is coming up and I just want my parents to not invite my brother. That sounds terrible but if yes just gonna sit at a table and be sad and his energy ruin everyone's mood then why be there?
