Clomid experiences

Hello everyone! I just really wanted to ask on experience. We finally got my husbands semen analysis back and it’s normal as I had figured. We haven’t been actively trying, but also haven’t been preventing for almost 5 years. So we finally got the ok for clomid! My dr recommend HSG, but said that we can try six medicated cycles and if nothing happens we will have to do the procedure. Anyway, I get to start the medication today and I’m so excited and scared and anxious all at the same time. My doctor is having me start today which is days 6-10 and says I should ovulate around 10th-18th day. I’m just worried because my cycles are kind of short anywhere from 18-20 days, so I don’t quite understand how it will work or if my cycle will lengthen? My doctor doesn’t seemed concerned about that though, he was just more worried if they were predictable. I’m also plus size so worried maybe it won’t work as well. What are your experiences with Clomid? Did it work for you? How many rounds? Is there anything you did that you felt helped or that dr recommend? How many of you got pregnant on the first try? Also did you track ovulation? He didnt tell me I needed to but when to have intercourse basically. Would love to hear any feedback! 🙂
