Do you feel be when calling off

I am sick today and I called off from work. But whenever I do, I feel so bad. 
I hate that I feel that way. I don’t call off often. I work a full time job and I have sick time left. 
Especially since I took a nap and actually feel better now

I used to feel that way… especially if you work in retail or customer service based. I got a job working for my state and although it’s customer service based, if I call out, they do not even comment on it. The first time I needed to do it, I thought it was so weird that no one questioned me when I got back the next day. 
Don’t feel bad or guilty. Companies can replace you so fast.

Not really bc 99.9% of the time the job doesn’t care about you. When I called when my grandma passed, I didn’t even get a “I’m sorry for your loss” but rather a “make sure to get your shift covered.”

I used to but then I developed a lot of health problems and lost my job to cancer a few years ago back. All I can say is your health comes FIRST and your job doesn’t give a shit about you. Illness is a sign your body needs rest and slow down. even if you start to feel better take time to rest your mind and body. Life is really really hard if you’re a people pleaser. Your job can easily replace you but you can’t easily replace your body. Don’t feel bad about taking care of yourself. You ask protect other co workers if you’re contagious.

I have always felt that way too. But honestly you shouldnt. Taking care of yourself is important. Your employer is gonna be just fine for today. Try not to feel guilty even. My husband started a new job recently and his co worker got him sick. He missed two days and when he came back everyone told him that one guy is always sick. Well i was sick for 2 freaking weeks (i have MS so it takes my body alot longer to fight off being sick). I wish his coworker would stay home and get better! So try to think about the people you are helping by staying home until your better.
