Breast pump?

Ladies my daughter had latching issues when she was born I did manual pump for a wk or 2 and gave up! As a FTM I was extremely exhausted with no help,no sleep etc & I couldn’t afford an electric one back then. I’m due next month and I’m afraid I’ll run into latching issues with the baby so I would like to know if I should go ahead and get a pump now. Or should I wait until after baby is born? Also any recommendations?

As the others already said, definitely wait and work with a IBCLC. If you end up needing to pump I can recommend the Spectra 100%, I am using it everyday and it works great. Good look and a smooth birth.

I would look into getting a pump now so you are prepared. Your doctor should be able to write a prescription for you and get it free through insurance. I also had trouble latching with my first and honestly just did not like nursing. I ended up exclusively pumping for the first 6 months or so before switching to formula. I plan to do the same with the next baby!
