Would it be disrespectful to bring my son to a hair salon?
I have a son who's 20. He lives alone and is on the spectrum. I hadn't heard from him for over a month and finally just drove the hour and a half to his apartment. He hasn't been living very well. His apartment is so dirty and I ended up washing dishes that had mold on them. He said he's been depressed lately and his hair is matted. I tried to help him comb it out but it won't come out so I made him a hair appointment at a salon that I'm gonna take him too. He's staying at my house for a little while so he's not alone. One of my friends told me not to do that to a poor hairdresser and nobody wants to work on dirty matted hair and it's disrespectful to the hairdresser. I'm just trying to save his hair the best I can and help him through this rough patch.
Edit: I've let the stylist know the condition of his hair along with him having autism.
