I’m in need of advice or just to de stress

Im newly engaged to a female partner.

Her ex husband didn’t want a divorce even after she came out of the closet.

As a new step mother would I be in jeopardy to be put on child support or anything that can arise, since her kids father is sketchy and slow. He just got served w child support papers since I told her I can’t get married if things aren’t in order first. I chose to not have kids and she said she was forced into marriage and she had 2 kids in that marriage and she said she doesn’t regret her kids but she regrets having them w her high school boy “best friend” that her family loves.

So our engagement is being kept sort of a secret and it’s all my idea. I sit and talk to my partner about this but she tells me everything will be fine and that our love is stronger than all the hate.

I’m posting public in hopes of a real conversation or some advice on this topic that I haven’t yet read about anywhere.. This is so important for me. She even said we can elope. thanks in advance ❤️🌈
