How do I bring this up in an interview???

Random question but idk where else to post this🤷🏻‍♀️
I have a job interview tomorrow and I hope all goes well BUT….
My cousin is getting married August 3 in Mexico. I had already planned with my previous job 1 week vacation. How do I bring this up???
My only concern is I have no proof….i have not bought my tickets yet because I’m waiting to see if we (family) are taking off from LAX (airport in LA) or from Tijuana airport (Tijuana is only 1 hour from where I live) 
Will this be a red flag for my potential employer?! I’m scared

I wouldn’t mention it until they offer you the job. But once you do, you can just let them know and it’s usually not a problem. Breathe in, it’s not that big of a deal.

I would wait until they give you an offer. From there just let them know that you already have a prior planned obligation for that week. They should be accommodating. If they arent then i wouldnt even want to accept their offer. Lol

You don’t need proof to take time off. Honestly, it’s only a week. I’d tell them a month ahead of time at the absolute maximum.

you just tell them you have a family vacation on those days and will not be able to work, people have lives outside of work, they should understand and if not, I wouldn’t want to work for them🤷🏼‍♀️ I had previously planned family vacations and had to tell my future employer about them at the interview and it’s never been a problem, you don’t need proof or even have to tell them why/where you’re going
