Would you call it quits if you’ve been together 11 years and no ring?

Marriage is a huge thing for me. Idc how big of a wedding it is but I do care being married to my significant other.

I’ve been with my bf for 11 years. We get along well and this is what hurts me. We are on different pages. He knew I wanted to get married and I don’t know if I’m being unrealistic at this point. I’ve always wanted to get proposed to. I don’t think that will ever happen. My bf just wants to have a family right now.

Here’s the catch, for the longest we have talked about moving in and getting our own place. It’s been 1.5 since this conversation and I see no progression. We still are 1 hour apart after 11 years

In the beginning it was on because we were 18! We went to college focusing on getting our careers! Then we graduated in 2019! My bf talks about getting a house but I see no action.

Sorry if this new to me but how do I put my part?? I tell him we should go look at places and start seeing our budget …we never do! Everytime I bring this up he tells me “well I’m working really hard to give you a home”

He trips me out because he makes it seem like he should do all the work. None of this team work. We have been arguing a lot for the past 3 months. Yes, a lot of this stems from me being unsure on calling it quits. I’m scared to leave my high school sweet heart but at the same time idk if we will ever get married?

The other day we went to a friends baby shower and he told me he wished that was him. I told him “don’t you think we should look into getting a house first?”

And it just got messy and said I never acknowledge his hard work and those long nights he puts in at work.

He makes me feel crazy and sometimes makes me feel bad that I’m not supportive ?
