How to get rid of pics

I’m panicking because I was cleaning out my closet and in the back I had a box. I didn’t know what was in it. I opened it up and I had some old birthday cards from family and friends and photos. And I have a few pictures of me and my ex.

I had no idea that was in there. I’m nervous because I live with my boyfriend and if he saw them he would be upset with me.

I’m nervous to just throw it away in our garbage because my luck, the garbage would spill or something and he would find it.

Any advice on how to get rid of it?? I don’t want my bf to be mad at me.
