I hate Mother’s Day

I hate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

Mother’s Day is uncomfortable for me because my mom and I have a complicated relationship. She is in a better place in her life now, and she wants my sister and I to act like she didn’t give us a shitty childhood and move on. But it’s hard.

Father’s Day is weird for me because I never met my father. He’s somewhere out in the world not caring about me.
