Hard to support my Bestfriend’s Relationship!

Am an asshole that I cannot support one of my best friend’s new relationship? My friend has been in a situstionship with a guy for almost 4 years. Since they met she has been wanting to be in a relationship with him but he would give excuse after excuse.

When she met him he was “going through a divorce” with his wife and didn’t want to jump into anything quick which I thought was fair but since then he has told her soooo many excuses like how he didn’t find her attractive, how he got back with his ex wife, then broke up with her, then said he wasn’t ready for a relationship but then got into another relationship with a different woman…

THEN my friend found out him and his new gf were pregnant then just a month later my friend got pregnant…THEN we find out that his gf at the time lied about the pregnancy which then my friend to terminate her pregnancy…She then decided to buy him an expensive bracelet for the baby that was never actually conceived…..while he hasn’t done anything for her at all.

and now FINALLY after 4 years, 2 women, a fake pregnancy, a real pregnancy and a lot of money spent on her part to fly across the country to see him he decided to ask her to be her GF. And now she’s telling me updates about their relationship and throwing “my boyfriend” in every moment which is making me cringe.

I have been her friend for YEARS, and have supported her through all the things she’s done in life. She is a great person with a great heart but she is incredibly insecure and it makes me sad to see her put herself through all of this despite all the advice I have given her about dumping him, moving on and doing better for herself.

All in all I love her, I love our friendship but it’s incredibly draining to give advice and she doesn’t take it and now it’s hard to put up a front that I’m happy for her when I’m actually not.
