Catching up with an ex

I'm 25, he's 30. My ex and I were together for 2 and a half years. We broke up more than a year ago on good terms but there was a lot of pain with the breakup because he wasn't sure if he wanted kids so we decided to break up after thinking about it since it's something I want later in life but we loved each other. We talk on some occasions for little things and he asks how I'm doing. He texted me today to check up on me and he asked if I wanted to get coffee tomorrow as friends and catch up a bit. I wanted to go but said no because I don't think we could be friends and I think he still has feelings for me... Would you go ?
