Do you keep trying to make plans to meet your SO’s family when they’ve bailed in the past?

Part of me has a feeling that they don’t want to meet me. Idk what my boyfriend has told them about me, but I can assume that they know there’s a decent age gap between us with him being 13 years older than me. There’s also the language barrier, his family speaks Spanish but I’m not fluent. He told me his dad only speaks Spanish but the rest (his mom, brothers, aunt) speak English too.

We had plans to meet on my boyfriend’s birthday since it was his, his twin, and their mom’s birthday. At the very last minute, everyone else decided to go to the casino instead when I came from 2 hours away. My boyfriend and I still celebrated together but I was frustrated that they flaked.
