Respond or Block
I know the right thing to do is block. But be honest. If you were in my position. If this was your spouse would you say something.
My hubby had a best friend. They had been friends since 4th grade and they were honestly closer than we are. They were both majoring in film, but my husband switched his major to theater and has been in a few musicals. His now ex best friend is still majoring in film and entered a local film festival and won. We were at the film festival and what he did was so fucked up. He said he wanted to make a film that brought to light CSA. I'm s victim a CSA. So is my husband. Which his best friend was the first person he told. I was raped by my uncle and sexually abused by a female cousin when I was 9. My husband was SA'd by his male teacher when he was 14. His best friend decided to adapt my husband's SA into his film. The main characters are literally my husband's name and his teachers name. Not only did he adapt it into the field. He fucked up the whole story. In his little film the teacher and the student had a little relationship. So I suppose it was more of a grooming story but severely romanticized. My husband wasn't groomed. It wasn't "romantic". It was just violent. He never was in a student teacher relationship. His teacher was just gross and violent. My husband was very upset by this because he never asked for permission to adapt his story into his film let alone enter it in a film festival. The batch it when he knows the truth. My husband is very upset and has blocked him. And this man sent me this absolute garbage today
