Removing IUD Help
Hey ladies, so I don’t know if this is the right group to ask, but I desperately need some help. I got my IUD Mirena about 10 months ago. The first month was fine. I didn’t have any issues in my period stopped completely and I haven’t had one since a few weeks after getting it inserted I started having headaches nothing too serious. I figured it was because I just had a baby and it was my body going back to normal. Over the past few months, it started progressing, and my headache started getting more severe. Now here we are 10 months later and my head won’t go away even with Tylenol. It gets the point to where my vision does get a little blurry and I can feel pain behind my eyes but it doesn’t feel strong enough to be a migraine. I got a searching and I read that the IUD and Depo can cause tumors that put strain on your optic nerve and can make you go blind. The only way to prevent that from happening is removing your IUD. I called my doctor and they said the earliest they’d be able to get me in is on the fifth which isn’t too far away but my head is pounding so bad that Tylenol isn’t doing anything and now my mind is worrying. I was wondering if anybody has experienced this? And has anybody tried removing their own IUD and was it successful? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
