Pregnancy after miscarriage. ..

So we miscarried in September and I thought we were still trying (no condoms or bc) but I asked him tonight if he wanted to make a baby, he said yes.... then said "at some point" then said "some point soon" . Is he just nervous bc this is his first? I feel conflicted bc he knows we don't use protection and he still ejaculates in me every time. He knows where I stand. Is it just nerves?
