Validating that people don’t like me
I had a rough day at work. I’m very sensitive and socially anxious. I have an extremely hard time socializing, but despite that I’m really hard worker and do I do my job well. Anyways, my job requires two of us to work as a team. When I was looking at the schedule for the next day, I guess my male coworker didn’t see that I was standing right there and he saw that we were partnered together. He said “aw Man U couldn’t have put me with the other nurse instead.” Then he realized I was standing there. I mumbled “wow” but idk if he heard. He didn’t say anything after that but he was definitely embarrassed and didn’t know I was standing there. It really bothered me to hear that.
I’m a sweet quiet person. I don’t start any drama. I’m very nice and respectful and keep to myself. Hearing that just validated all my self hatred of people not liking me. I’m crying and took the day off today bc I just felt really sad. Does anyone have any advice.
