Which medela?

Currently pregnant with my 4th and after lots of tears and failed BF with the previous babies that lead to exclusive pumping I’ve decided to just EP from the start. Over the years I’ve used medela and Willow and my ladies like suction and would put out up to 8z per side per session with it. I’m looking at the hands free versions and can not focused out the difference between the swing maxi and the freestyle. Does anyone know much about them or what the difference is other then the looks?

Absolutely no hands free pumps for exclusively pumping. They are not advised at all by IBCLCs. Most definitely not for a primary pump, ONLY for emergencies. They aren’t hospital grade and don’t have the motor power suction as one therefore can easily decrease and or hinder proper milk production. You NEED an electric pump with the traditional flanges. Spectra is the one I suggest. They have the S1 which is rechargeable battery portable, or s2 which is plug in. 
No hands free pumps for EP!

Highly recommend the Baby Buddha if you respond to high suction and then just using a hands free pumping bra with regular flanges. The Baby Buddha is rechargeable and small enough that you can stick it in your pocket and move around freely. Like C said, wearables (any form of cups) are not recommended as a primary pump because it won’t empty you as effectively and over time, will hurt your supply. 
I love my breast friend on instagram. She reviews all kinds of different pumps/breastfeeding supplies and tells what her opinion of them are. She also has good resources on her website that explains the difference between a primary vs secondary pump.
