Daughters baby daddy hasn't worked in a year

My daughter is 24 and her baby daddy is 26. They. They got married at 19 and 20. She has a 2 year old and is the only one working. She makes excuses for him about him being deaf so it's harder for him to get a job. He used to work as a line cook at this restaurant. He had been there since he was 15 and started out as a dish washer. The job shut down with no warning. They didn't tell any of the worker and he worked their 10 years so I understand that's not his fault but after a year he should have a job. I already do not get a long with him because sometimes my daughter and him will sign without her communicating to me what is being said which I find no different than people who speak Spanish when the other person only knows English. I understand he's dead and also can't speak but my daughter would usually translate and sometimes she doesn't. It's rude. He is also believing he's not getting hired because he's deaf and doesn't speak which I feel like he is just trying to be a victim. By law they can't discriminate against disabilities so then not hiring him for that would be breaking the law. Why would a company risk a lawsuit? I just hate seeing her so stressed. But every time I say anything she says I'm being rude towards her husband
