Early period..

Okay, so I missed two days of my Birth Control pill and then on the third day I took two days to try and catch up.  That night my boyfriend and I had sex and I noticed on his condom that there was bloo on it.  I was bleeding very lightly (like spotting) and now today (three days after), I am fully on my period.  Is this because I missed two days of my birth control?
