Horrible sore throat, negative strep test, sending off for culture. Relief recommendations?!

26 weeks with a horrible sore throat. Hurts very much everytime I swallow:( 
Any recommendation for some relief? Drank warm honey/lemon water combination. Taking Tylenol too which doesn't seem to help!

Omg same thing happened to me! This past weekend I went to the ER on sat morning because I couldn't take it anymore! Then Sunday I got chills, fever of 101.5 and a headache so I went back and had a negative strep test. The doctor told me to just keep drinking fluids, eat soft foods, and I've been doing tea (non caffeine, sometimes chamomile as it supposed helps inflammation), with a little lemon and honey. Other than my throat being raw I am feeling better. I just bought a humidifier too and that is supposed to come tomorrow. I was told by the doctor Tylenol, regular strength, no more than 5 times throughout the day to keep down fever and benadryll  as needed throughout the day with plenty of water.

I had a sore throat and I took about 2 tablespoons of Braggs Apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water with Honey several times a day and it really helped knock it out within a few days.....

I'm just getting over an awful sore throat. I lived on throat lozenges, honey/lemon tea and gargling salt water and set up a humidifier on my nightstand. I hope you feel better soon.

Gargling salt water, eating salty chips, potatoe chips are the best but since your preggers tortilla chips are probably the better choice lol 
Lemon honey water, hot tea with honey. A spoonful of honey before bed, suck on it slowly. And sleep with a humidifier! 
I just got over a nasty sore throat myself, I absolutely loathe them. So not fun! Feeling for you!

If you start having sinus issues you can take Mucinex DM

Do you have any post nasal drip or phlegm? That was irritating my throat. Taking Flonase for that. Mucinex? Lots and lots of hot liquids. I was heating my water up even.
