Not showing yet, is this normal?

I'm a total newbie, have spent the past week with flu and am a little worried. Am a few days shy of completing 12 weeks but am yet to show. There is a little bloat (I had more at 6weeks!) after eating and I still have symptoms like tender/sore breasts, little gas bubbles in the lower belly area and haven't had any bleeding at all but the nausea has subsided, my breasts that had swollen are back to normal size and I am worried something may have happened. Is the baby still growing/OK? My family doctor said as long as each time my fever (due to flu) spiked I took paracetamol to lower it everything ought to be fine, can't get an appt with my gyneo until next Weds. 
When did you guys start to show?

It's so easy to worry isn't it? Concerned about the same issues (not showing yet and pregnancy symptoms lessening as first trimester ended) I've spoken to a lot of women in this group and everyone assured me it's totally normal. In fact most women tell me they didn't begin to show until 15-20 weeks. My doctor said for someone with a strong core who is eating healthy and carrying their first child it could take even longer for the bump to pop simply because prior to that your muscles keep everything tucked in. It's also normal to lose all symptoms at 10-13 weeks because during that time the placenta takes over and your hormone levels drop as they're not needed anymore to sustain the baby. All very cool stuff but we first timers rely so much on these little signs for comfort :). Ask your Dr for an US 
if you're really worried but I'd say what you're feeling is normal!

Everyone is different depending on body shape and position of uterus. I was showing at 8 weeks on my first but most people say after 12 weeks.

I wasn't showing with my first till 6/7 months!! It's normal with your first! I wouldn't worry :)

At 12 weeks symptoms normally subside. I'm smaller now at 12 weeks than at 8 weeks. All the bloat has disappeared. You are probably ok. Pregnancy is just a scary thing, but try to relax and enjoy it. It goes really fast!
