Diva cups?

I'm 18 and I'm a believer in tampons since day one! But I've always been curious to try a diva/ menstrual cup. So, for those of you ladies who have tried can I please get some opinions. Does it work well? Is it hard to put in? Is it time consuming to clean? And most importantly does it leak!? Comments would be much appreciated❤️

I've been using a diva cup for a year and there's no way I would ever use tampons again. A little learning curve the first cycle (maybe get pantry liners as you figure it out) but now it's so easy. Leave it in for 12 hours and no problem (depends how heavy your period is). It's super economical and so much healthier for your body and the earth. I can't believe anyone with access to a moon cup wouldn't use one. Life changer! Seriously the best thing.

They are great! They are cheaper, last longer, less waste, and no toxic shock risk. Super easy to clean but use the diva wash or another non-scented non-oil based cleanser. The fragrance can cause infection. I find that soaking the cup in warm water and cleanser for a minute gets it the cleanest. Then I hand wash it.

I rarely have problems with leakage.  You just have to make sure it is in the proper angle and be aware of your flow. Panty liners are a good backup.

it works well, its healthy, and it doesnt leak, if inserted properly. i still like tampons better, but it worked good while i used it! it was a little messy when i took it out to clean it off tho, the blood kinda went everywhere.. had to do lots of wiping but its 50/50 just depends on ur liking.

I use LENA cup and I absolute love it, I won't use pads or tampons again. It was $30 including shipping online, I change it once a day, sleep and gym with it in. It was a bit tricky the first few times using it while trying to get it out, I have found a method since then. I don't spill a single drop. I have had zero leakage. No cramps using the cup. And thanks to this i actually know what a cup of blood looks like (haha) it's actually a cool experience. I thought I lost way more blood till I actually used a cup and saw for myself. There are a zillion brands out there, look for cups that don't stain easily and have great suction. I would stay away from clear/white as those stain the easiest and your cup will begin to look a bit scary. I recommend Lena. Although diva cup is great for beginners.

I've been using a diva cup for a while now and I love it, it works nicely and doesn't have to be changed as often as a tampon. Since it is reusable it has also saved me money. One thing about them is they all fit a little differently inside every woman because we are all a little different, some women find that it fits perfectly and others find that they have to wear some sort of pad for backup, the main problem that most women encounter is learning how to insert the cup correctly because it cannot just be shoved in like a tampon, it must be inserted in the proper way so that it cups the cervix and catches the blood. I've been using it for two cycles now so I'm still pretty new... But it works amazing! Imagine putting it in for 12 hours and forgetting about it- twice a day- that's it.

There's different folds you can use to insert! I was also worried about insertion but it's really no issue- you've just got to find the find that works best for you :)

Time consuming to clean? Not in my opinion. I usually like to change it in the shower- take it out, give a quick once over with unscented soap, and then reinsert. After each cycle I give it a boil and it's good to go for the next month :)

There's definitely a learning curve that happens the first time you use it- like where it should sit, how to make sure it's open all the way, stuff like this... but it's really not too bad! I had a couple leaks here and there the first cycle but this cycle- I have had NONE. I don't like to sleep with underwear on and I have full confidence in my cup for a leak free night on my light coloured sheets!

I would recommend it FORSURE.
