Monistat? Tmi

Question

So i was having some itching and burning down there so i decided to get monistat 3. And it was fine for a minute then suddenly it was on fire so bad i jumped in the tub. Did i do something wrong maybe? It was worst than the actual yeast infection.

I know this is late, but the same thing just happened to me. I used Monistat and the next day the pain and itching was so bad I went to Planned Parenthood for Diflucan and my nurse tested me for herpes because the Monistat caused sores. (Tests came back negative, so it was not herpes and indeed the Monistat.) I did some searching and found hundreds of horror stories from women having adverse reactions to Monistat. I will NEVER use it again. It caused me a week and a half of pain and distress. Just go get Diflucan, it works better anyway.

This happened to me to! I was in the worst pain of my life. I went to the ER the next morning because my vagina was so swollen and still burning. They said I had a yeast infection but I must have been allergic to something in the monostat (maybe you are too) and so they gave me antibiotics for it instead. And now I know never to take monostat again
