Blood work?

So my doc only wants to see me one the 21st of March. My bf that is a pharmacist thought it was odd they didn't have me do blood work in case I was low on something. Has any one else's doc not made them? Or should I go somewhere else to get it? Or just wait until the 21 at my apt? Just a little curious

My first appointment is 3/22 and it's with the nurse. I'm seeing the doctor 3/31 and I'll probably have labs then, but not hgc testing. My doc office only does them if I'm not certain about positive pregnancy or if there's been spotting or some kind of concern.

Over here (UK)it's not common to have an early blood draw unless you have a history of miscarriages so I won't get one until around 9 weeks.

Mine had me do blood work but only to check my thyroid because k have a history of it being low. Other than that they wouldn't have had anything checked.
