Moved to the area and did 3 IUIs here. We have a child through IUI at another clinic in MD so he just used my previous protocol. After the second failed attempt I asked to be re-evaluated but no one would. Due to the office being closed on Sundays and holidays they missed my ovulation twice and I only had one monitoring appointment per cycle. With my previous clinic I had 3-4 per cycle. Dr. Derman never knew my name and always acted like he had no idea who I was. The office staff never returns calls in a timely manner and I almost always had to call for my blood results. You could here other women’s appointments while you were waiting for your ultrasound and as someone trying to conceive and failing, hearing an OB ultrasound while you’re sitting half naked in a dressing room can be hard. The morning monitoring appointments are ridiculous. You end up waiting forever because you have to come at 7 but the doctor doesn’t even come until 8. I ended up leaving and going back to my clinic in MD. It was worth the driving and overnights to be truly cared for. At my first appointment with Shady Grove they reviewed my bloodwork and AFC and decided i had to start IVF.

The doctors, nursing staff and techs are all great, however the appointments are basically 'first come, first serve' so if you have an appointment at 7 am, and someone comes in before you, they are generally seen first.

Very compassionate and caring staff. Nurses were fantastic and Dr. Derman was phenomenal during the process. They made all of the appointments and care I received to be such a great experience due to their excellent customer service.
