Ohhh it has been a long ride with Ohio Reproductive. Where do I begin? I'm going to start with our miserable patient experience, then discuss the blatant disregard for financial matters, and the apparent incompetence of their staff. We received care in December 2021 and January 2022 with Ohio Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Kennard was our primary physician. We met with her via telehealth and explained our concerns regarding fertility. Instead of making us feel as though she cared, she spent the first 13 minutes of our appointment telling us that we were "grandma killers" because we were not yet vaccinated for COVID. She eventually stopped when my husband asked her if she was billing us for this lecture. Our initial appointment ended with recommendations for medication and standard fertility treatment procedures. We began following protocol from a distance, due to COVID. Eventually, I became pregnant. My husband and I were overjoyed! This is what we came here for. We thought that ORM would share our sentiment. We immediately scheduled an ultrasound with them. We got in contact with my regular OB, who was worried about the pregnancy due to low progesterone. We feared the worst, but were looking forward to at least seeing a picture of our baby if anything. We had our appointment for the ultrasound with Dr. Kennard in January 2022. When we entered the office, my husband was immediately kicked out. "No family members allowed!" they said. I tried to explain that this might be the only time my husband and I could see our baby, and I wanted to experience my first ultrasound and pregnancy with my husband by my side. The front desk staff refused. We decided it was fine, COVID was a difficult time for everyone. When I got to the ultrasound room, I was crying a bit. Dr Kennard entered the room. She took one look at me and told me to “suck it up” and that it was not a big deal. She looked at the fetus and said that it doesn’t look like it’s developing correctly. I wasn’t surprised, but still somewhat heartbroken by the news. I asked her for a printout picture. She responded with “Why? Nothing is there anyway, I just said that.” I was stunned. How could anyone say such a thing? I didn’t know what to say, and was still crying, so I just said I wanted one anyway. I got out of the clinic as soon as possible. We received our bill after a month or so, and found it to be higher than expected. We promptly called and asked them if they billed my primary and secondary insurance correctly. They said they did not enter primary insurance info initially, and that they would re-run the claim. They sent us another bill a little while later, and we paid the amount thinking that they had completed it correctly. How were we to know that they still hadn’t entered the insurance information correctly? Then, we received a bill for the second date of service. Only the secondary insurance information was indicated. Immediately, we began to doubt that they ran our insurance correctly the first time, and we contacted insurance to verify. Our primary insurance verified that they never received the claim, our services were, in fact, covered, and the clinic owed us a refund. A representative from my primary insurance called Ohio Reproductive, and told them they should process a refund for the payment we made, and they will cover the costs. Ohio Reproductive refused to cooperate, denied the request, and went silent. We did not hear from them for months afterwards, and we assumed this bill was taken care of. But NOPE. They sent it to collections after four months. They refused to answer any of our calls or messages since. My entire experience with this clinic has been a nightmare. Please, look for another provider if you are even remotely considering this place. At the very least, please know what Dr. Kennard is really like. I don’t want any couple to go through the same thing we did. The fertility journey is difficult enough, and it doesn’t need to be complicated by blatant unprofessionalism, poor bedside manner, and incompetent staff.

Quick once you’re at the facility. Very timely and convenient location.

Ease of scheduling. Kind staff who were helpful in answering all my questions. They were cost sensitive and didn’t push for procedures that were unlikely to be successful to save us money
The center is nice and staff was attentive but I would NOT recommend anyone go here after my experience. After a year and a half of trying to conceive and experiencing two early losses, I went to Ohio Reproductive Medicine hoping to get some answers. Dr. Schmidt was very optimistic telling me I was a healthy young woman and he didn’t foresee any reason why I would still be coming there a year later unless it was to discuss having a second baby... they did all the normal baseline testing on me, telling me I had been pregnant already so there was no need my husband needed to be tested. All of my test results came back perfectly normal. They immediately put me on Femara for “egg quality”. I only came in for a follicle scan once during each cycle. At one point I questioned when I was told my follicles weren’t ready yet because I was positive they had brought me in too late and I had already ovulated due to temp charting. Dr. Schmidt laughed it off saying he always tells women not to bother with the BBT charts because they just make you crazy but sent me for blood work just in case. And low and behold, I had been right. After 6 failed cycles of Femara, they put me on Follistim injections which were very costly. No further testing or explanation was offered. After two months of that we decided to stop and go see another specialist as we felt we were just being pushed to take expensive medications without any explanation. After 1 visit with the new specialist, they immediately ordered a panel of testing for my husband. From a simple inexpensive blood test we learned he has a genetic condition which is known for causing miscarriage and the only way we will likely successfully conceive is through selective IVF. We wasted a year and a half at Ohio Reproductive and thousands on medications that were never even going to help.
The doctors and nursing staff were lovely. My doctor used a systematic approach to my fertility road blocks. The nurses were there to answer my questions im a timely manner through both phone and email (so I could send a million pictures of OPKs I was having trouble reading). They got me scheduled so fast! We decided to try and get pregnant March 5 and I got pregnant as a result of my July IUI. Its clear they are old hat at fertility medicine (keeping a level head through the process even when I didnt) but that they love what they do because they were genuinely happy for my wife and I's success. We plan to use them again to help with our next pregnancy.

Very helpful , just don’t treat people like a number or a paycheck

Columbus, Ohio only thing they just need to be a little more caring and allow time in between patients after having and paying for infertility

Very good results, but I did often feel like the doctor wasn't available for me and communication with the staff was only available by a clunky phone app. I would have liked a little bit more personal care. Otherwise, they were fantastic. Some people think Dr. Kennard is cold, but I really liked her. I think she helped me approach this like a job, and it helped me maintain a little emotional separation during a very stressful time
The nurses have been wonderful from the very beginning. As a lesbian couple trying to conceive we have had nothing but good experiences from the start.

The staff and doctors are wonderful. You feel like they truly care and get to know you. Very rarely did I have to wait longer than 5-10 minutes after my appointment time.
Short wait times.
Everyone at the office is extremely helpful!

I am so glad I was referred to this facility. Year and a half trying I get pregnant under the care of my OB, finding a new one, and four months under the care of Dr. William, and ORM and I am pregnant!
I'm super impressed by how quickly they run. You get called in at or before your appointment time and are only waiting a few minutes before the dr comes in to see you!
Great
The REs are older and getting ready to retire. Their equipment is outdated and their success rates are dropping fast.

The entire staff was incredible! Dr. Grant Schmidt was so understanding and did everything he possible could for my husband and I. All my interactions with my nurses were so positive and they were very compassionate for my situation.

They tend to book many women at the same time slot for procedures and blood work. If you show up a little early the wait time is minimal.

Always early with my appointments, informative and able to work around my schedule.
