    MOST HELPFUL
    March 23, 2017

I have PCOS, so I was switched to Femara. I've had almost zero side effects while on it. Which for me is amazing since clomid was a horrible experience. So here's hoping that everything goes great & after 8 yrs of ttc, I finally get my dream baby!

I was on this drug for 7 months.it did help me ovulate more regularly. I still have no baby...

Did 2.5 last month, no ovulation. Just finished taking 5.0 this month and we will see if that’s was the magical dosage! ✨ no side effects on either dosage.

Worst week of my life! The pill made me feel so weak I couldn’t go to work at all. I was exhausted like the time I had shingles.( if any of you have ever been through shingles, you’ll know what I mean ) And that wasn’t all. Severe headache, heartburn, lower back ache, General aches all over the body. Too early to comment on it’s effectiveness but it’s not the innocuous little pill everyone seems to say it is.

My gosh, all I can say is never again. this medication made me drowsy, dizzy and so weak for 3 weeks I could barely go to work. The worst part is I didn't even ovulate. Prior to taking this medication, I was ovulating every month.

Tried clomid for two years with no success and horrible side effects. then finally switch to this and conceived on my second cycle. I have pcos and my son is beautiful and heathy. For some this is the better alternative.

its safe to say that im allergic to this drug i had really bad reaction to it. i was out of work for 2 weeks :( j was really hoping this was the fertility med that might work

I have PCOS, and I did 2 rounds of it. No side effects. I ovulated both rounds, and we conceived on our second round! If we ever decide to have another baby, I will definitely be using this again!

I have been taking femara for the last 3 months.. I am hoping after this cycle we will be telling everyone we are pregnant!!

    June 25, 2017

First cycle on it and ultrasound confirmed ovulation. No side effects!

    June 20, 2017

I'm taking this medicine because I'm in a same-sex marriage, and it's just protocol. But the medicine so far has been ok, no negative side effects. Although this is my 5th cycle on letrozole, alot of women get pregnant fairly quick on it.

    June 18, 2017

Just completed round 1 and had so many side effects. Mostly diarrhea every day I was on the meds, but also had achy hips, fatigue, and lots of dizziness. I had a really bad fall from the dizziness and tore a ligament in my foot. But I am ovulating now so hopefully I don't need another round. :/

I have Pof.. a terrible diagnosis. I took Lezra ( Femara ) 3 months but didn't work for me. 😔 I didn't feel any side effect.

How many rounds did you all have to do before you had success? I'm about to start my first round. I ovulated on Clomid 50mg just never conceived.

    May 11, 2017

RE started me on Femara after my first cycle was cancelled due to poor response. I was on it for 5 days total, started it 2 days before injections and it helped boost my follicles. I ended up retrieving 15 mature eggs after 8 days on stims.

    April 18, 2017

I have PCOS and was started on Progesterone first and my body reacted badly to it so i just started my first round of Femara and so far have had no bad side effects besides maybe headaches more then i normally get them. Hoping to have some luck the first go round of it because the more time that goes by the more frustrated we get, which deffinetly doesn't help things.

    March 31, 2017

Good! Helped boost my fertility without side effects

    March 31, 2017

Very effective. I had few side effects, and only one egg developed, which was what we were going for. The cycle before we tried Clomid, and I have 6 eggs developing, so we decided to hold off on that cycle. With the Letrozole, it did exactly what we had hoped, and was able to get pregnant that cycle.

    March 31, 2017

I had absolutely no side effects other than ovulating for the 1st time in my life.

    March 29, 2017

Stimulated ovulation well with much fewer side effects than Clomid.

    March 29, 2017

    Effective. Makes me ovulate

    March 27, 2017

Clomid and I did not work well together. Femera and I do work well together, but haven't had a pregnancy yet. Ovidril (trigger shot) does the job, and prometrium also does the job.

My cycles have been regular (28-32 days) for 5 months straight (this has never happened before in my life, 2 months in a row was a miracle). Although I haven't gotten pregnant yet, I am feeling better overall and I am having less symptoms.

    March 27, 2017

It works good with making me ovulate, but the side effects are bad. I get constant headaches all day long.

    March 27, 2017

It made me very sleepy and my body was just very tired the entirety of me taking it.

    March 27, 2017

It did help grow my follicles, but it did not result in a pregnancy. I did femera for my iui's.

    March 27, 2017

It worked! It produced multiple eggs for me but some of them weren't mature enough so I had to take another drug to help them to mature. The side effects were minimal.

    March 27, 2017

I got 2-5 follicles each time on a low dose.

I took one cycle of femera that lead to a 17cm which became our first son. We are just starting femera again in hopes of conceiving a second time!

    February 11, 2017

After 3 unsuccessful cycles of ovulation indication and timed intercourse using clomid (the last of which led to a 3cm ovarian cyst) my RE changed me to Femara. I have to say I have tolerated it so much better than the clomid. On clomid, I was felt irritable, had mood swings and was easily tearful. Femara causes a fit of fatigue for me and the occasional hot flash but certainly easier to deal with than the clomid.
