Well... it is hard to say. The vials I used apparently were from a lot# that were found to be less potent than acceptable, which I found out through a letter from the pharmacy that dispensed my medications. I had to submit all of my receipts but I eventually received a refund for all of the vials I purchased. I did end up having to use multiple injections of the Bravelle while I was going through my IUI.
After three cycles I got pregnant.
I guess it wasn't very effective given the lawsuit!
The injections worked and got me to ovulate. Unfortunately didn't get pregnant though. I'm going to keep trying it though.
A specialty pharmacy can distribute prescription medications that are either high cost, high complexity, or require more instruction to administer. Most medications for fertility procedures must be purchased from a specialty pharmacy.
