PID?? Help! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜¢
I know there's a thousand topics on this, but back in 2012 I was diagnosed with gonorrhea and I didn't know I had it until 3 months later when I went to the gyno for an annual and got an std test done. I got it treated immediately and went on about my life. A couple of weeks after that check up I ended up in the hospital with severe abdominal pain and vomiting and they did an ultrasound of my abdomen, x rays, and they drew a ton of blood and told me I had a severe uti.
My question is, was 3 months a long enough time to develop into PID and do you think there's anyway the ER could have gotten my diagnosis wrong? Since then I've been to the gyno for plenty of annuals /pelvic exams and nothing has ever come up or brought to my attention. I'm pretty nervous because my boyfriend and I want to ttc sometime soon and I don't want an std from years before him to affect it ):
