So I need advice!

I do before & after school care for 2 little boys. There was an incident between one boy & a friend(girl) to my daughter, the details were sketchy but it was something about him pulling her shirt on the bus. Apparently it was supposed to be nothing until I assume she went home & told her mom. The daughter stops riding the bus in the morning & of course mom & I don't have our morning chats heading home from the bus stop. So I feel like the mom is purposely keeping them apart or avoiding us. How do I tell my daughter I don't want her to hang around the little girl?? Or am I wrong altogether??

Is she avoiding you in other situations where you would normally interact? If not, it sounds like she thought her daughter was being bullied on the bus (whether that is the case or not) and removed her from that situation.

I'd avoid telling my child who to be friends with. If the little girl isn't a good friend, I might just girl talk about you are who your around and explain how all her friends are an extension of herself. If it's just the mom, you don't need to be friends. Her loss. Let the girls talk and figure stuff out.

If you feel like she's a bad influence around your child then maybe it's best tell your daughter it isn't safe to say around the kid. A mother is never wrong on what her feelings tell her! What ever you think is best for your child do it.
