Can i wash my curtains?!

So my curtains in my living room are absolutely destroyed by the kids mucky handprints all over them they're gross! Problem is they are dry clean only and being the cheap skate I am I don't fancy getting them dry cleaned. Do you reckon I could put them in my washing machine. My machine has a handwash setting which I have put shoes and hand wash only teddy's in and they've been fine.

Yeah just air dry them and put lay them very flat so you don't have to put heat to them

I was my curtains all the time on gentle or hand wash settings.

Should be fine depends on size weight when wet n fabric. I wash n iron mine. Hang them damp. Also I used to work in dry cleaners and we used to wash a lot of them in normal washing machine. X
