Is it harder to date when you have a child?

I was just wondering is it a little more difficult to date people when you have a child at home? Like does it become more complicated or a littler easier to do? Does that make sense? I hope it does. Lol

I found it hard but only bc I felt like going out was choosing someone over spending time with my kids. So I just had a rule where I never left until they were asleep, an only my mom was allowed to watch them. If they woke up or if they wouldn't go to bed I didn't go out or I came home. And if my date didn't understand that it was the last date!

I didn't date till my son was 3 years old and I'm still with that guy .it's hard cuz you don't want to get a sitter all the time and you don't want to bring a new around your child unless you know they are going to stick around but don't know that till you date awhile.  My son was with me 24/7 besides work he didn't go to his dad's on the weekends or anything so it was hard but I reconnected with an old friend and we started dating .

It was harder for me to date as a single parent while my kids were young. Pre-kid me only looked after myself.  Once i left work/class, my time was my own.  I could jump up at a moments notice and go wherever.  With kids, you have all of their things to do after work, dinner, bath, books, and bed. If somebody wants you to jump up and go,  better be when they are at Dad's lol. I wouldn't trade it though.  Even married now,  i have a partner in crime,  but we still can't just go anywhere,  we have kids to consider.

Its hard no matter if you are the one with the child or your the one dating the person with the child. Totally worth it though when you find the right person. I just suggest waiting until things are serious before involving the child/ren. Blended families are very common now but they are the hardest relationships to make last due to the other parent or just difference in parenting styles. I got very lucky with my SO we agree 99.9% of the time on our parenting style the onky hard part of our relationship is his ex. And that is only a factor if the other parent is around.
