HELP handling situation???

Ok, can I get some advice on how to handle this situation or maybe how you would handle it. And please don't be rude. My husband and I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. 1 cat and 1 dog prefer him and the other 2 prefer me, so we say they are each other's. Like I say she is mine and he is your kind of thing, but we share them and mutually take care of them, but I do most of the time. I told him I would like another pet. Either another cat, bunny, hamster, even a fish and he will not let me. He said one our current ones have to die first. Please keep in mind he has had the final say in every pet we have gotten. We inherited his dog which I didn't want because he doesn't like me and is often mean to me, growling and snapping at me. Then we got my 1 year old puppy. We had my cat as our first pet before we got either of the dogs and got the second cat a few months after the puppy. I know, it's a lot if animals, but I told him when we were dating I have always lived with lots of animals and I want a lot, but my biggest thing is he ALWAYS gets the final say in just about everything! I want to be boss just as much as him and he not have to approve everything. I feel like he is putting me beneath him instead if as his equal. Please help me. He never listens to me when I try to address this and he denies that he does it.
