Anyone not doing a formal announcement?

I tried to think of something but nothing feels right to me. I just started telling friends (closest first, making my way to people that I feel comfortable with) at 10 weeks and told my boss over the phone at 11w4d after our normal ultrasound. I feel uncomfortable for some reason sharing a formal announcement on Facebook and DH doesn't even want to email extended family (just said his mom could call them). I was thinking about just telling her she can start calling at 14 weeks. Anyone else in the same boat?
